Stop. Trains Can’t.
Rail Grade Crossings Awareness
October 5 – November 8, 2020
Although accidents at railroad crossings are an old problem, the problem is easily avoidable. This campaign is a focused effort to reverse the uptick in railroad crossing fatalities. Its message is simple: Stop. Trains Can’t.
The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) have launched a national railroad crossing safety ad campaign to increase public awareness around railroad tracks and reduce crossing deaths and injuries.

A train can pass through a segment of track at any time, so always practice patience at highway rail-grade crossings. You know it’s true that there’s no excuse that’s worth risking your life for at a highway rail-grade crossing. Always stop and wait for the train to pass. Stop. Trains Can’t.
Novoaglobal offers Railroad-Safe, an automated enforcement system that prevents rail-related fatalities by educating drivers to Stop. Trains Can’t.
In Orlando, Florida a Vision Zero approach was used at a Railroad crossing where accidents were threatening the new commuter rail service. The City asked NovoaGlobal for a solution. NovoaGlobal provided its portable system, with the same technology we are offering you. This technology is used without necessitating linking into any railroad warning equipment. We used our back office to issue warnings to drivers instead of citations. The effectiveness of the program was so impressive that the Federal Railroad Administration conducted a study of the program and presented it at its semi-annual meeting.
