Pre-Qualified for Connecticut's Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) Automated Traffic Enforcement Safety Device (ATESD) Vendor List to implement and maintain ATESD programs.

NovoaGlobal, Inc., a leading provider of advanced traffic safety enforcement technology, was selected through a qualifications-based selection process for Connecticut’s Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) Automated Traffic Enforcement Safety Device (ATESD) Prequalified Vendor List to implement and maintain ATESD programs.

The Selection Panel was impressed with NovoaGlobal’s experience and service approach. As a result, NovoaGlobal has been placed on the Prequalified Vendor List for a 36-month term beginning May 6, 2025, with an option for extension. Inclusion on this list enables CRCOG municipalities and members of the Capitol Region Purchasing Council (CRPC) to contract directly with NovoaGlobal for traffic enforcement solutions.

NovoaGlobal is now qualified to be retained for Automated Traffic Enforcement Safety Device (ATESD) services by any of CRCOG’s 38 member municipalities, as well as any of the 145 municipalities that are part of the Capitol Region Purchasing Council (CRPC). CRCOG is the largest regional planning organization in Connecticut, representing a population of 976,248 across 1,047 square miles.

The Automated Traffic Enforcement Safety Program will help to prevent accidents on all Capitol Region roads where speeding and red light running makes traffic hazardous. The CRCOG has determined automated photo enforcement will reduce speeding and red light running and keep families safe.

In Connecticut, a new law, Public Act 23-116, permits municipalities to use Automated Traffic Enforcement Safety Devices (ATESD), like speed and red-light cameras, to improve traffic safety. This law empowers towns and cities to implement ATESD programs, which can then be used to capture images of traffic violations like speeding and running red lights. The goal is to enhance public safety, change driver behavior, and ultimately save lives.

“We are honored to be selected by The Capitol Region Council of Governments to provide automated speed and red light enforcement,” said Carlos Lofstedt, President and CEO of NovoaGlobal. “Our advanced photo enforcement technology is proven to save lives by reducing dangerous driving behaviors. We look forward to building a lasting partnership with the Capitol Region municipalities as we work together to reduce speeding and red-light violations to zero and enhance safety for all road users.”
