Halloween Driving Safety Tips
Tips inspired from the NHTSA
It’s Halloween Time!
To ensure a safe Halloween let’s all commit to driving safety, drive slowly, especially in residential areas, and eliminate all distractions to stay alert for children who may dart into the street. Always use headlights, wear your seatbelt, and make sure you and your passengers are buckled in. Plan your route in advance to avoid the most crowded areas and do not drive under the influence of alcohol.
Drivers should stay extra alert — more pedestrians, especially children, will be out and may appear in unexpected places.
- Slow down in residential areas, slower than the speed limit so you have time to react if a pedestrian darts across your path
- Atay off your phone
- Watch carefully for trick-or-treaters crossing the street
